| If you are going to start trading the Nasdaq online, it would be my
suggestion to start with the E-mini Nasdaq and get up the learning curve for
online trading before putting more money at risk with the larger contract. |

| Another suggestion is to use the pit traded Nasdaq and E-Mini Nasdaq
together. Either use the E-mini to scale in or out of a position and use
the pit traded contract opposite. You need to be careful and keep
everything straight (which takes an effort), but this helps use the
illiquidity and volatility to your advantage. Five E-mini contracts can be
offset in the back office versus one big contract, so you dont have to
worry about unwinding positions. |
| ik ben een tech-fan (ik doe zelf ook een IT opleiding) en zit dan ook
redelijk in de IT-aandelen omdat ik meen dat de vooruitzichten op lange
termijn erg rooskleurig zijn.
Nu vraag ik me af of er meer mensen zijn die het volgende spel weleens
spelen;
ik volg de Nasdaq futures vrij goed en bemerk dat tot de opening van de
Nasdaq de Nederlandse beleggingsfondsen amper op de Nasdaq futures
reageren. Zo kan het bijvoorbeeld voorkomen dat de futures 2% in de plus
(of min) staan, maar de beleggingsfondsen hier niet of nauwelijks op
reageren. Zodra de Nasdaq echter daadwerkelijk die 2% in de plus (of
min) opent, reageren de beleggingsfondsen hier vaak binnen een kwartier
tot half uur naar verhouding op.
Door nu te kijken hoe de futures staan voor opening van de Nasdaq, een
passende transactie uit te voeren op een ICT-beleggingsfonds en na
opening van de Nasdaq de omgekeerde transactie uit te voeren is zo nu en
dan een mooi extra rendement te genereren. Voorwaarde is wel dat de
Nasdaq futures. |

Yes, there is a fair value for the Nasdaq futures (and all other stock index
futures). It is even easier to calculate and arbitrage because there are
only 100 stocks in the index. Yes, there are buy/sell programs for the
Nasdaq 100. If you have a large portfolio, you could look into basket
trading with one of the major brokerage firms and then just get a real time
data feed into your spreadsheet and you could try arbing it yourself.
(Probably not worth it, though. Unless you can figure out some way that
youll be able to do it with an edge over everyone else doing it.) |
