| Im going to start daytrading the BIG nasdaq and I have a few questions
1. How are the fills? do you get them fairly fast (10-20 secs) or is it
a 2 minute process.
2. Liquidity??
3. Best brokers for online trading?? My system trades about 10 times a
day and I want to do online order entry with the fastest fills?? Any
recommendations??
4. Fastest realtime quote provider?? I would prefer non internet because
I only have a 56k modem. It has to work with Tradestation.
Anything else you think I should know about this wild ride they call the
Nasdaq (I know its volitile, thats why I picked it!!)
Thanks

| Before the market opens I notice there are DOW and Nasdaq futures listed on
Bloomberg TV. Usually if the futures say +150 on the DOW and +50 on Nasdaq,
both indexes will be up close to that amount shortly after the market open.
How are these futures calculated and what do they mean? |
|
Yes, there is a fair value for the Nasdaq futures (and all other stock index
futures). It is even easier to calculate and arbitrage because there are
only 100 stocks in the index. Yes, there are buy/sell programs for the
Nasdaq 100. If you have a large portfolio, you could look into basket
trading with one of the major brokerage firms and then just get a real time
data feed into your spreadsheet and you could try arbing it yourself.
(Probably not worth it, though. Unless you can figure out some way that
youll be able to do it with an edge over everyone else doing it.) |
| In the last 5 months the Stock Docs NASDAQ day-trading Club has
recorded an astounding $50,000 in NET PROFITS on the MINI CONTRACT!!
Thats AFTER COMMISSIONS!! If you had traded the regular contract you
would have recorded $250,000 in profits. |
| If you are going to start trading the Nasdaq online, it would be my
suggestion to start with the E-mini Nasdaq and get up the learning curve for
online trading before putting more money at risk with the larger contract. |
