I have traded stocks for more decades than I care to think about. But
I also trade futures, in particular OEX Options. If it wasnt that the
money in stocks were client money, I would put it all in futures. In my
experience, you win or lose in two weeks in options, what you win or lose
in stocks taking 3 or 4 years. The game is faster in options and the
results.
Percentage wise, the options returns are many times greater for a fixed
time period. the converse is true, if you are going to lose, you are
going to be out in a much shorter period of time.
Fron a return viewpoint, I will take options any day. |
